10 Day Private Pilot License E Course
Many People out there just say, go to your local airport and sign up at one of the flight schools and you are on your way. Since I have been in the industry for 20 years, I know first hand what can happen when you make the wrong choices. Time after time students have come to me frustrated at the flight school and or flight instructor asking me for help. At that point in time they have already spent thousands on training and many times have not even solo'ed and even worse than that, they have already acquired some very bad habits. Here is a perfect Example of what I am talking about. Recently two students I know of had their flight instructor up and leave them. They both called me for help finishing their private pilot Licenses. One was a student that said she was about ready to solo and the other was signed off and ready for his flight test. In both cases I went up with the students and reviewed all the maneuvers with them. In both cases I pulled the engine for a simulated engine failure. Both of the students had no idea what to do. In both cases the students had never practiced an emergency landing situation below 3000 feet above the ground. On top of not knowing what to do both students had an excessive number or hours. The student had close to 40 hours and hadn't solo'ed yet and the student who was signed off for his flight test had close to 100 hours and had some very bad habits. I know this does sound pretty bad but this happens more often than not. If you are someone who has a maximum amount of money to spend, could you handle wasting this much money? On top of that when something like this happens you also have some bad habits that are hard to break.
